Terms and Conditions (UK English)

1. Bookings and Deposits

To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total agreed package is required. The event date will only be secured once the deposit has been received.

2. Payment Terms

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • If full payment is not received by the due date, Shake & Sip Bars reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

  • Failure to make payment before the event may incur a late payment fee of 10% of the outstanding balance, unless waived in writing by Shake & Sip Bars.

  • If payment remains outstanding for more than 7 days after the event date, an additional late payment fee of 20% of the outstanding balance may be applied.

  • Shake & Sip Bars reserves the right to recover any reasonable costs incurred in pursuing outstanding payments.

  • Payments must be made via the agreed payment method, including bank transfer or debit/credit card.

3. Cancellations and Amendments

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event will result in the loss of the deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the event are subject to full payment of the agreed booking value.

  • Any amendments to the event details, including venue, timings, guest numbers, or package selections, must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.

  • Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

4. Services and Equipment

  • We will provide the agreed services, including staff, bar setup, glassware, and stock where applicable.

  • Any additional services or items requested after booking may incur additional charges and must be paid for in advance.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring suitable access, power supply, and adequate space at the venue where required.

  • Any loss of or damage to equipment, furniture, glassware, stock, or hired items caused by guests, venue staff, or third parties during the event may be chargeable to the client.

5. Licensing and Venue Requirements

  • The client is responsible for ensuring the venue permits the service of alcohol where applicable.

  • Shake & Sip Bars reserves the right to refuse service if licensing conditions, health and safety requirements, or legal obligations cannot be met.

6. Health and Safety

  • Shake & Sip Bars complies with all relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Alcohol will only be served to persons aged 18 or over.

  • We operate a Challenge 25 policy and reserve the right to request valid photographic identification.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, aggressive, abusive, or otherwise poses a risk to staff or guests.

7. Photography, Video, and Media Use

  • From time to time, photographs and video footage may be captured during events for promotional and marketing purposes.

  • By booking our services, the client acknowledges and agrees that Shake & Sip Bars may use photographs or video content taken during the event on our website, social media channels, promotional materials, and other marketing platforms.

  • We will always aim to use content respectfully and appropriately.

  • If the client or any guest does not wish to appear in photographs or videos, this must be communicated to us in writing prior to the event where reasonably possible.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, although we cannot guarantee the exclusion of individuals from all background footage or crowd images.

8. Liability

  • Shake & Sip Bars holds valid public liability insurance.

  • We are not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, injury, delay, or additional costs caused by guests, venue issues, third-party suppliers, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  • Nothing within these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted under English law.

9. Force Majeure

Shake & Sip Bars shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, fire, flood, strikes, accidents, supplier failure, transport disruption, pandemics, or government restrictions.

In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking or provide a refund, excluding any non-refundable costs already incurred.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
